Friends of the Earth Cafe is a food co-op and vegetarian cafe run by a team of volunteers. The cafe offers an organic meal of the day, cakes, muffins, and locally grown or fair trade coffee and teas. The nourishing hot lunch is served from midday until late afternoon. The food co-op provides affordable, low packaged (bulk) food, fruits, vegetables, and health and eco-cleaning products. The food co-op and cafe has an adjoining book shop that features titles on how to best maintain a healthy lifestyle.
