Located in front of the Poas volcano, Puerta de Jade is a non-smoking guest house with a vegetarian and vegan kitchen. Among those offered are salads, Thai noodles, vegetable curry, French quiche, moussaka, sweet and sour veggies, mango sweet, and strawberry dome. Gluten-free dishes are also served. Organic ingredients from the guest house's garden are used in food preparation. Only non-alcoholic drinks are available. The guest house has three bedrooms and a little suite, a private dining room, and a salon. The owner of Puerta de Jade wrote the French book entitled "Tous Vegetariens Demain."
