Situated in Privada de Cancún, Colonia Brisas de Zicatela, Osa Mariposa is a small complex of rustic cabins and vegetarian/vegan restaurant enveloped by an enchanting tropical garden. The restaurant serves up homemade vegetarian and vegan fare for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Among those offered are black bean burger, falafel sandwich, hummus plate, fresh fruit juices, smoothies, rich Oaxacan coffee, a variety of teas, beers, wines, and an assortment of Mezcal flavors and cocktails. Mezcal is a Mexican artisan alcohol similar to tequila, but of an older distillation process still not industrialized. Menu items are mostly vegan. Everything is freshly made from scratch. Local ingredients are used in food preparation. Osa Mariposa is located just two blocks (100 meters) from the beach and halfway between the two best surf breaks (Zicatela and La Punta).
