Bug and Bee is a cafe that serves meat dishes, as well as vegetarian and vegan fare. Among those offered are breakfast items, spring rolls, salads, congee, noodles & rice, crepe noodles, crepe spinach lasagne, cakes, cheesecakes, apple waffles, chocolate crepe with fruit salad, flambé, deep fried ice cream, juices, smoothies, coffee, and tea. Vegan dishes include tofu with eggplant miso sauce wrapped in seaweed; five mushrooms soy milk soup with Shanghai noodles & spicy suki dip; grilled peppers & chillies with buckwheat soba noodles; mixed mushroom penne pasta stir fried in sweet soy sauce; olive oil marinated vegetables served with pomegranate crispy noodles; chilled buckwheat soba in sesame mustard vinegar with grilled mushrooms & zucchini; and fried green apple and rose apple in spicy basil sauce with jasmine rice. Breakfast and lunch sets are available. Vegan fare offered complies with the strict local Buddhist requirements, with no dairy, eggs, onions, scallions, and garlic. More vegan items will be added each year during the vegan festival (during the ninth lunar month of each year, which would coincide with around October). Delivery service is also offered. Only cash is accepted. The cafe takes up four floors of space, with a balcony on the top floor. Wifi is available throughout the cafe and free for all customers. Bug and Bee has been featured on over 70 TV programs, both locally in Thailand and regionally throughout Asia. The cafe is normally open for 24 hours; but due to recent curfews, has shortened opening times (10:00 - 22:00).
