The name "Maitreya" is derived from sanskrit and means universal love or loving kindness. Cafe Maitreya has been set up to reflect these values in work and food. The restaurant serves great food using organic, seasonal and wild ingredients which are sourced from local, small scale and/or ethical suppliers. Lunch is served Wednesday to Saturday from 12:00 pm and the last orders are accepted until 2:30 pm. Dinner, on the other hand, is served Wednesday to Saturday starting 6:30 pm with the last orders accepted until 9:45 pm.
