Located in a beautiful half-timbered Tudor building at the end of picturesque Cheap Street in the market town of Frome, Cafe La Strada offers breakfast and lunch items, pastries, cakes, chocolates, over 200 varieties of artisan ice cream flavors, and a huge range of fresh juices, smoothies, milk shakes, coffee, tea, beers and wines. The chilled display counter is also full of freshly made filled baguettes, filled ciabattas that are grilled to order, homemade sausage rolls and cheese scones. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are also served. Everything is prepared in-house using local ingredients whenever possible. Bookings for lunch are advised. Outdoor seats are available. Food can be ordered for takeaway. The cafe is also an exhibition space for some of the best artists in and around the county. Cafe La Strada's gift shop sells home-style giftware from designers such as Alessi, Villeroy and Boch, Guzzini, Ritzenhoff, Bugatti and Kitchen Aid.
