The 78 is a restaurant and bar that offers a 100% vegan menu. The full menu includes a wide selection of starters, main courses (served in generous portions that would satisfy the largest of appetites), daily specials, veggie burgers, sandwiches and a range of desserts. Bottled ales, beers, wine and soft drinks are also offered. The entire drinks range is 100% free from any animal produce and many of those on offer are also organic. In addition, free entertainment programs are provided including DJs during weekends, live jazz on Sundays, the legendary "dub'n'grub" on Thursdays and the open mic night "sing and drink" on Wednesdays. The 78 has become a social hub and regularly used for meetings by groups including Glasgow University Vegan Society and Glasgow Herbalists.
