The Green Way Cafe serves homemade and vegetarian food. Vegan dishes are always available. Main meals on the specials board change regularly. These could include cashew nut roast with mustard and herb sauce, cheesy leek parcels and mozzarella roulade with olives and sun-dried tomatoes. These are all served with inventive, imaginative and delicious Green Way salads. All meals are available in a choice of sizes. A choice of delicious soups on the menu and a large selection of cakes, desserts and scones are also available. The cafe also has a wide range of organic, fair trade teas and coffees made by Equal Exchange and cold drinks which include organic Whole Earth lemonade, Fentiman's ginger beer, fair trade juices and organic cordials. The cafe uses the freshest produce; organic, fair trade and locally supplied whenever possible in all cooking. A range of options is offered for party bookings for groups consisting of 8 and 25 people. The main dining room at the front of the cafe has 4 tables and seats 12 people. This room has good views down into town. Works of local artists are displayed on the walls. In the front room, there is a sofa and a coffee table in the corner for those wishing to relax and have a chat and coffee. A family room is located to the right which incorporates a play area with a train set, drawing things, books and toys. There are 2 large tables for dining and also a sofa. A lovely garden is located at the back of the building. It is in the sun throughout the day and has 2 small tables and a large round table.
