Located just up a ramp next to the City Library, Painted Elephant is a small, quirky, independent restaurant offering a 100% plant-based menu that changes completely every month. Raw and gluten-free fare are marked in the menu. The freshest seasonal ingredients are used in food preparation. Orders for lunch are accepted until 3:30 pm, while the last evening sitting is at 8:30 pm. The restaurant is unlicensed but guests can BYOB. Bookings, which can be placed in Painted Elephant's website, are highly recommended on any day since the restaurant has seats for 18 guests only. Takeaway is available during lunchtime only. Catering service is also offered.
