Greater Boston Buddhist Cultural Center is a Buddhist temple and a tea house that serves vegan food for lunch. The vegan lunch consists of a bowl of soup, brown rice, and four side dishes. The soup and sides are random, depending on what is available and usually include two kinds of tofu dishes, green, and sautéed root vegetables. Fresh fruit tea is also available. Seasonings used are fresh herbs and natural spices. Onion and garlic are not used in food preparation. Reservations are accepted. Takeaway is available. The tea house is decked with fresh flowers and filled with scent of incense wafting from the adjoining meditation hall and book store.
