Located in the Regent Square neighborhood of Wilkinsburg, Biddle’s Escape is a vegetarian cafe serving up Soup Nancy’s soups, homemade hummus, bagels, croissants, granola bars, crackers, veggie puffs, potato chips, muffins, cookies, biscotti, signature smoothies, Italian/French sodas, hot chocolate, coffee, espresso drinks, tea, and chai. Vegan and gluten-free options are offered. Customers can also create their own specialty drinks by choosing one or two fruits, a mixer (dairy milk [whole or skim], soy milk, almond milk, coconut milk, orange juice), and additional organic whey protein or chia seeds. Soups are served with toasted bread, crackers, or Reyna’s blue corn chips. Hummus comes with pitas or bagel. Bagels are toasted with cream cheese, peanut butter, jelly, and/or butter. All menu items, except soups, muffins and biscotti, are made from scratch using local ingredients. Muffins and biscotti come from local bakeries. Outdoor seats are available. Food can be ordered for takeaway. The cafe also sells coffee beans and loose leaf teas, as well as gift items like coffee and tea accessories, and some herbal bath and beauty products.
