Originally a worker's collective, Ocean Beach People's Organic Food Market and Deli is a member-owned vegetarian consumer co-op with a full service sit-down deli that offers an array of home-style and gourmet dishes, made fresh daily. Daily offerings include hot soups, green salads and dressings, vegetable and grain salads, dips, sandwiches, entrées, fresh hummus, tofu "cutlets" and "nuggets," dessert items, baked goods (muffins, breads, cookies), juices, coffee, and tea. Vegan dishes are also served. All items are prepared on-site using organic ingredients whenever possible. Outdoor seats are available. Food can be ordered for takeaway. Ocean Beach People's Organic Food Market offers seasonal organic produce, organic vegetarian groceries, perishable and frozen items, organic bulk products, vitamins, as well as home and body care products.
