Thumb_imgp0482 British Columbia rain

After three days of dazzling sunshine, British Columbia has finally remembered that it is supposed to be rainy and foggy. Now you are able to recognize all the places from the x-files (insert title melody).

The fog over the rainforest (that's right, it is temperate coastal rainforest) truly looks beautiful and the green is so lush in the rain, but after a few hours, the cold just creeps into your bones. So I was very happy to find that vegan place around the corner open and cozy.

A quick glance at the menu later, I settled on lasagna with a side salad and I couldn't wait to fill my stomach with something warm. I just wanted to get warm again, like really warm from the inside out. Well, unfortunately, one tiny little word in the restaurant's subtitle had slipped my attention: RAW.

You know what that means... Le sigh. It was delicious, it truly was. And I bet it was highly nutritious and healthy. But it was cold, so cold... And I really wanted noodles...

I don't know anybody who is living raw vegan and I don't think I could ever do it. I mean, is there anything better on a cold day than this feeling of profound warmth spreading out in your tummy after a hot meal? (Except for hugs, of course.)

If you're raw vegan, please tell me about it! I'm willing to be enlightened!!
