Socks equal love - I've written about my grandma's famous knitted socks some time ago.

And guess what? She did it. IT!

I've been so very clever to buy pure cotton wool for her to knit my socks. So very clever to tell her I just liked the look and feel of that kind of wool.

She, on the other side, has been so very clever so see right through me. And she did so without a word of protest or mockery. She just took the wool and did it.

And here I am, proud owner of my first pair of vegan grandma socks, and my heart is so big and warm that my chest can barely contain it.

It's another step, another milestone, and I'm so very happy that I can still have it, her sock kind of love. I'm so very proud of her. I still cannot believe how easy it has been. After years of disagreeing about my lifestyle, she just took the wool without uttering one negative word. And it almost felt... as if she's been relieved herself.

Can it really be true? Had she noticed the sock dilemma on her own? Is she glad that I could offer such an easy way out for both of us?

I don't know. But I don't really care. Much more important is that I've already sent her new wool for a second pair :-)
