Being a vegetarian is awesome! What's more awesome than that? Spending a day, or possibly days celebrating being a vegetarian/vegan with other veggies! There are loads of veggie festivals around the world. How fun?! Here is a list of festivals worldwide.... Is one happening near you?

Northern Vegan Festival, Manchester, England, 13 April
Here they have 90 vegan stalls with body care, clothing, gifts, cakes and chocolate, national and local vegan organizations and groups. There will be tons of caterers and free samples and children's activities, films, entertainment, and cookery demos too!

39th Vegetarian Summerfest, Pennsylvania, USA, 3 - 7 July 2013
At the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, Pennsylvania you will enjoy a relaxing day with hundreds of people. Besides good food there will be vegetarian and vegan doctors, dieticians, chefs, authors, social activists and other educators.

41st World Vegfest and 6th Asian Veg Congress, Kuala Lumpur and Penang, Malaysia, 3 - 9 October 2013
As if Malaysia needs a festival... They have amazing veggies friendly food year around but this festival sounds pretty cool, too!
Hosted by the Malaysian Vegetarian Society.

VeganFest April 27th- May 1- Palazzo Mediceo Seravezza, Lucca, Tuscany, Itlay
This is the biggest vegan event in Europe and is free to get in! Eccellente!

Veggie Pride Parade- Toronto, Canada- June 1st 2013
Musicians, dancers, roller derby teams, party-goers and of course veg food. Have fun!

Fruit Festival- Provence, France – August 3rd-13th
What better than fruit? It's like natures candy!

Phuket Vegetarian Festival- Phuket, Thailand- 10 days in October
The date depend on the Chinese calendar but it's every year in the 9th lunar month. Sacred rituals and good veg food!

Twin City VegFest- Minniaplis, MN – October 23rd-2013
Lean more about where you food comes from and how to bealthier. Free entry.

There are many more festivals world wide. Veggie or not, there's no way you can have a bad time at a festival filled with good food and good people. I've been to the one in Phuket and I cant wait to add more to my list!

Great post :) There is also the Festival for the Earth hosted by Animal Amnesty coming up on the 9th November at the Earthwise community centre in Subiaco, Perth Western Australia

Cool post! There's the in Germany every year, although that seems to be more about informing about & selling products. The veggie street day in Berlin is fun, it's every year in.. August I think. Right at the Alexanderplatz.
